PlantResearch has an all-round laboratory equipped with chemical analytical, molecular biological and microbiological facilities.
In the ‘dirty’ section growing mediae and crop samples are collected and prepared for further analysis. The chemical-analytical lab is equipped with a GC-MS and spectrophotometer to facilitate a number of in-house analyses and to make our quality control task more efficiently.
In the (micro)biological lab a laminar flow hood, incubator and autoclave enable us to produce axenic cultures of bacteria and fungi.
Since 2020 PlantResearch has the possibility for studying products at the molecular level. By means of e.g. RNA sequencing the mode of action of e.g. biostimulants can be reveiled.
Product development and improvement is a substantial and important part of our daily job. Hence, the R&D laboratory tests new and improved nutrient extraction methods from raw materials and renewable sources.
Additionally, new climate regulated storage places have been installed for all kinds of product stability and preservation tests.
